Church Street transformation moves forward in Downtown Orlando
The first phase is designed to create a more pedestrian-focused festival street supporting events, outdoor dining and local businesses.
The City of Orlando began Phase I of the Church Street Festival Street project, covering the corridor from Garland Avenue to the railroad tracks. Plans include a curbless roadway, flexible pedestrian space, loading areas and new landscaping.
The city says the project is intended to support year-round events, outdoor dining and local businesses while reducing cut-through traffic. Phase I is expected to be completed in winter 2026.
