Five signals shaping Orlando’s economy at midyear
Local businesses reported stronger revenue and profitability even as confidence in the broader U.S. economy weakened.
The Orlando Economic Partnership reported that 55% of surveyed Orlando businesses increased revenue in Q2 and 50% improved profitability. At the same time, confidence in the national economy fell and cost pressures became a leading concern.
The labor market remained comparatively strong. The region added 12,300 jobs since January and 20,600 over the prior 12 months, according to the Partnership’s midyear analysis.
